God Work In Me

Over the summer I wrote a song about how I wanted God to use my life for His glory.  I used some parts of a poem I wrote about a friend to help me create the song.  Take a listen!

Verse 1
Oh when I smile in a hallway,
Give my friends a text or call,
I know I share my love for Jesus,
In these acts that seem so small.

I want this world to see,
His Spirit in me,
So they can believe.

I want my life to show,
So others may know,
That Jesus Christ is Lord of me.

Chorus
In whatever I say,
In whatever I do,
I’m going to live my life,
To serve my King,
Jesus it’s all for
Your will, Your glory.

Ev’ry day of my life,
Brings a chance to prove,
That all my sins are gone,
You set me free,
Lord take my life,
God work in me.

Verse 2
So just because I am a Christian
Doesn’t mean I’ll never sin,
Because my human nature’s still here,
‘Til I die to live with Him.

God sent His only Son,
So I could become,
A Child of His.

Jesus died for my sin,
So I could live,
And this is why
I shall worship Him.

Chorus

Verse 3
I know I need to listen better,
I want to serve others more,
‘Cause when I make the time for service,
I follow the call of my Lord.

Jesus I’ll do what’s right,
I’ll share Your great light,
And be Your bright star,

In this really dark world,
So far from your grace,
I’ll run from the chaos
to seek your face!

Chorus

Bridge (Repeat once)
God, I want to know You more,
That’s why I read Your Word,
I want this crazy world to know,
I live to love my Lord!

Chorus
