What is the message Lord,
You are trying to send me,
When things come at me left and right?

Perhaps I am serving You
With all my Heart, soul, or might.
Or maybe You are testing me to see if
I walk by faith and not by sight.

Lord, what is the point of all this confusion
I have now in my life,
All this pain, and all this strife?
It is for Your glory and Your honor
in every action I make,
and everything I say and do.
The sole purpose of my life is to glorify You!

Why am I not seen or sought after?
Is it because I am too focused on me,
or the things I like to do?
Or is it because You want me to be ignored,
so I will continue to study your Word?
Lord, my perspective is so absurd!

I have changed and rearranged the priorities of my time.
But have I really worked at impacting another friend’s life?

I want to serve someone’s need
By becoming a better friend,
Allowing You to shine through me,
So I can truly love others
Through my words and deeds.
